Carl Casselman Obituary

Carl Edward Casselman, 56, beloved husband of Bobbi Ussery Casselman, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Tidelands Health - Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Casselman was born the son of Beaufort Gilbert Casselman and Juanita Ward Casselman on October 23, 1958 in Kingstree. He was a 1978 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He began working with Santee Cooper in 1983 and retired in 2008 due to a brain tumor. He was a member of the Piney Forest Baptist Church where he served in several ministries. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a devoted husband, beloved father and Popa, loving brother and loyal friend. His sickness never discouraged him from telling others what God had done for him. When asked Carl would reply, "I am doing good."

Carl and Bobbi were married on May 13, 1980 and celebrated 35 years together. Their home was blessed with: two children, Carla C. (Will) Morris and Morgan N. Casselman; and three grandchildren, Jackson, Bradley, and Julia Carleigh Morris. He also leaves behind: four brothers, Harris (Vicky) Casselman, Harold (Margie) Casselman, Bruce (Glenda) Casselman, and John Wilson "JW" (Karen) Casselman; and four sisters, Harriett (Teddy) Ethridge, Gennelle (Marion) Young, Barbara Tisdale, and Carolyn (Phillip) Fulton.

He was predeceased by: his parents; and a brother, Sylvester Casselman.

A Home Going Celebration will be 5PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Piney Forest Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Andrews Memorial Cemetery directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6-8PM, Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Andrews Chapel.
