Buddy Todd Obituary

Buddy Todd, 83, of Georgetown, beloved husband of Irene Taylor Todd, departed this life for his new life with the Lord on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.

Born on April 1, 1932, in Conway, he was a son of the late Olin E. Todd and the late Lula Jane Todd. Buddy spent his life as a dragline operator with the Wildlife Department being his most memorable time as a dragline operator and working for Mr. Bo Tyson was his latest. Buddy was well known as the Peanut Man because of the time he spent cooking and selling boiled peanuts.

Buddy enjoyed collecting what most of his family considered junk but he thought of as treasures with horse trading capabilities. Buddy enjoyed tinkering with stuff and welding, at which he was very good at. A ladder was not his friend, as most of his family and friends knew, but keeping him off one was impossible. Later in life he enjoyed getting up early and helping keep the coffee made at 521 Mini Mart and eating lunch at the Ball and Que Restaurant.
