Athalie Bacote Obituary

Linen-Knox Funeral Home announces the funeral services for Ms. Athalie Bacote, age 87, of 2489 Bamboo Court in Myrtle Beach, who died on Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Conway Medical Center in Conway. Ms. Bacote was the wife of the late Flegler Bacote. Ms. Bacote is preceded in death by both parents; her husband, 1 son and 1 sister and granddaughter, she reared as her own, the late Whinter Hope Robinson.

Funeral services for Ms. Bacote were held Friday, July 8, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Mr. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in the Dunbar community of Georgetown, with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Gamble Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The remains laid in state in the sanctuary of the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of service. A viewing was held on Thursday, July 7, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Linen-Knox Funeral Home Chapel on 1632 Emanuel St. in Georgetown.

Ms. Bacote is survived by her loving family: three daughters, Ms. Margaret Williams of Hemingway, Ms. Joey Bradwell of Florida, and Ms. Ernestine Saunders of Virginia Beach, VA.; a host of loving grandchildren; great-grands; nieces; nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Friends and family may call or visit the home of the deceased, Mrs. Athalie Bacote, on 2489 Bamboo Court in Myrtle Beach.
