Amparo Islas Obituary

Amparo Olga Islas, 64, wife of Fernando Islas, Sr., of Beaufort, SC, entered into the presence of her Heavenly Father Thursday, June 12, 2025. Ana, as she was affectionately known, lived a life devoted to her Lord and Savior with a faithful servant's heart. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11:00am in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the beginning of the service. Ana was born to Herminia and Juan Ramirez on March 27, 1961 in Miami, FL. In 1976, she would meet her future husband, Fernando Islas, at South Dade High. They would go on to spend the next 49 years building a legacy of faith and family. In 1979, Ana received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. This would begin her life as a faithful servant through church ministry and as a public servant in the field of education. Ana cherished summer days watching baseball with her son, Fernando, Jr.; celebrating rich cultural holiday traditions with her daughter, Kimberly; and sharing springtime photos of new blooms with her youngest, Ashley. In the latter years of her life, she cherished every moment spent with her four granddaughters, each one holding a special place in her heart. Ana was preceded in death by her parents, Herminia and Juan. She leaves behind her husband, Fernando Sr., her children Fernando Jr., Kimberly, and Ashley (Matthew); and her four granddaughters, Aria Beth, Ana Grace, Alicia Fernanda, Anaya Rosa. She left a beautiful mark on all who knew her - a legacy of giving, compassion, and grace.
