Pat Beard Obituary

Patricia Ann Hall Beard entered this world on November 10, 1947 at the Baldwyn Hospital in Baldwyn, MS, the daughter of the late James Edward Hall and Katherine Oline James Hall. After an adventurous, courageous and fulfilling life devoted to God, family and others, Pat transformed to the life eternal from the Baldwyn Nursing Home where she had briefly resided doing Rehab. She was 77 years old. Pat graduated from Saltillo High School and later received her AA Degree from Itawamba Junior College (ICC). She became a member of the Saltillo Methodist Church in 1960 where she worshiped, was in the hand bell choir, and was loved until her death. Pat spent over 30 years of her life as a social worker at the Mississippi Department of Human Services. After retirement, she spent several years as an inventory clerk for a confectionary company calling on stores all over Northeast Mississippi. Blessed with a perfect smile and a bubbly personality, Pat lit up every room she walked in. Chatty and encouraging, she loved visiting with friends and family and was a doting mother and grandmother. A master cook, she loved cooking or entertaining over a good meal or going out to eat. Pat lived a purpose filled life and found satisfaction in the little things that really mattered. She will be sorely missed.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 1 PM today (Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025) from the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo with her longtime Pastor, Rev. Tim Green officiating. A private family committal service will be held at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 11 AM today and continue until service time. Pat is survived by her daughter, Katy McCully (Marty) of Baldwyn; her grandchildren, Lilly McCully and Abby McCully; and her sister, Cindy Hardy (Ricky) of Baldwyn; and her cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Oline Hall; her husband, Lt. James Beard of the Tupelo Police Department; and her longtime dinner friend, Sadie Holland.

Pallbearers will be Danny Bailey, Jody Avent, Chris Hardy, Daniel Hardy, Ricky Hardy, and Steve Holland.
