Wanda Russell Obituary

Wanda Kay Russell, 74, of West Columbia, SC, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025. Wanda was a beautiful person with a big heart, known for her kindness and her gift for making everyone feel welcome. She truly never met a stranger. Her generosity and love touched all who knew her. Wanda built a successful career as a Finance Manager, where her dedication and sharp mind earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike. But her greatest joy was always her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce Russell; her children, Jessica Robinson, Jason Swaringen-Gray (Tajiah), and Joshua Gray (Sara); her stepdaughter, Janet Russell; her beloved sister, Gail Hofstad and her brother Danny Knowles; her cherished grandchildren, Logan Crawford (Jesse), Katelyn Crawford (Cole), Hannah Swaringen(Christian), Olivia Swaringen(Lael), Brady Madden, and Taylor Gray; her precious great grandchildren Nile Swaringen and Aaron Crolley. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. A celebration of Wanda's life will be held at 2:00 pm on July 19, 2025, at her home - her favorite place, surrounded by those she loved most. Her family asks that in remembering Wanda, all will carry forward her legacy of love, warmth, and generosity.
