Robert Acuff Obituary

Robert (Bobby) E. Acuff, 82, of West Columbia South Carolina, passed away peacefully at his home on September 10, 2025. Robert was born on August 13, 1943 in Winchester, Tennessee. Robert was the son of Billy S. Acuff and Louise H. Acuff. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth B. Acuff and his siblings, Bub Acuff, Freddy Acuff and his parents, Billy and Louise Acuff. He is survived by his sister, Judy Ridenour (George), his son, Robert Acuff, Jr., his daughter, Terri Derendinger (Allen), his grandchildren, Spencer Derendinger, Sarah Acuff and Allie Acuff. Robert served in the army National Guard. He worked as a manager in the security business. He was a member of Pineview Baptist Church. His hobbies included fishing motorcycles tinkering with engines. He could fix just about everything. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. The family would like to express their appreciation to his caregivers at Hope Love and Compassionate Care. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 15th at 11 AM, with a visitation an hour prior at 10 AM. Pastor Kyle Britt from Pineview Baptist Church will be officiating. The service and visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Rd., Lexington, SC 29073. Interment will follow the service at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd., Lexington, SC.
