Raymond Massey Obituary

Raymond Briggs Massey, III, 71, of Elgin, SC died on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Born on August 15, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Raymond Briggs Massey, Jr. and Agnes Cornell Massey. Mr. Massey spent his childhood growing up in Mississippi. Later in life he enjoyed learning and attended many of the best state universities in the Southeast. Mr. Massey had a strong interest in and passion for boats and airplanes. He was an avid artist who especially enjoyed drawing and painting. Mr. Massey also loved fellowshipping with family and friends at the churches he attended, and over great meals and desserts.
Survivors include his daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth Massey (Tara Campbell) of Chesapeake, VA; his sister, Jane C. Massey (Pamela Mendez) of Elgin, SC.
A memorial service will be held at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church, 1005 Asbury Dr. Columbia, SC 29209 at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 28th.
