Obituary for Mr. Ralph Lovell Yarborough
Mr. Ralph Lovell Yarborough was born on October 9, 1952, in Jenkinsville, South Carolina, as
the oldest of four children to Ravinell Yarborough and Nellie Ray Yarborough (Collins).
Ralph transitioned to his heavenly home on September 23, 2025, at the age of 72. Though his
passing was sudden and heartbreaking, his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now
resting safely in God's arms along with his mother and father.
Ralph lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity. Known for his gentle spirit, sense of
humor, and unwavering love for his family and community, he had a way of making everyone
around him feel valued and cared for. He delighted in adding emojis to his text messages, sharing
a laugh with friends and family, and bringing joy wherever he went. He also loved cooking and
snacking, often creating moments of connection over good food and cherished memories.
Throughout his career, Ralph dedicated himself to the hospitality industry, serving as a doorman
at the Omni and Westin Hotels, where he greeted guests with warmth and professionalism. He
later became an entrepreneur, owning and operating his own car service, building meaningful
relationships, and demonstrating a strong work ethic that inspired everyone around him.
Ralph's passions extended beyond work. He loved playing golf, followed NASCAR racing with
enthusiasm, and cherished every opportunity to spend time with family and friends, sharing
laughter and creating lasting memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ravinell Yarborough and Nellie Ray Yarborough
(Collins).
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Linda Yarborough; his children, Khalilah
Allen, Ashley Yarborough, Joshua Evans, Elizabeth Yarborough, Isabelle Yarborough, and twins
Jayden and Jordan Yarborough; his only granddaughter, Nyla Allen; and his siblings, Anginette
Yarborough, Jennifer/James (husband) Rhett, and Deborah Owens. He is also remembered by a
host of extended family members and friends who will forever treasure his kindness, humor, and
love.
Ralph's life was a testament to love, laughter, and resilience. He leaves behind a legacy of joy,
warmth, and unwavering devotion to his family and community, a legacy that will continue to
inspire all who knew him.
