Lisa Stringer Obituary

Lisa Ann Stringer, 61, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Born on July 11, 1964, in Columbia, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of Robert M. Stringer of Blythewood, South Carolina, and Judy Merrill Stringer of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Lisa was a 1984 graduate of the University of South Carolina and a devoted Gamecock fan. Professionally, she worked in Conventional Sales at the Grand Dunes Hotel in Myrtle Beach, where she found great fulfillment in her work and formed meaningful relationships with her colleagues.

Outside of work, Lisa found her greatest joy by the ocean. She loved spending time at the beach, especially walking along the shoreline with her beloved dogs, Penny and Darly. Those moments brought her peace, happiness, and a deep sense of contentment that she cherished.

Lisa leaves behind her parents; her sister, Claire Stringer of Los Angeles, California; her cousin, Scott Merrill of Columbia, South Carolina; and her aunt, Ginger Boyce of North Carolina. She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family will gather on Thursday, March 26, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. to receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn. A memorial service celebrating and honoring Lisa's life will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. David Spears officiating. A reception will be held afterward, also at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn.
