Kimberly York Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kimberly Rose (Rowland) York who passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC on June 11, 1967, Kim was the daughter of Judy L. and the late R C Rowland. She was a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Kim was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and her love for family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and always had a story to tell. She loved crafting, camping, her fairy gardens, front porch, and all things Halloween. Kim was employed at K.J.'s Market in Batesburg and was a long-standing employee at The Big Mo Drive-Inn since 2009. Kim is survived by her mother Judy L. Rowland; sons Kenneth Tyler York and J.T. (Lakin) Quarles; daughter Kirstin Louise (Antonio) West; sister Ashley Michelle (Markus) Lee; nephews Blake Blalock, Bradley (Amber) St. Pierre, and Andrew Lee; niece Kinley (Matthew) Henderson. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren Steven West, Sarah West, Samuel West, Simon West, Shyloh West, Abbie Quarles, Peyton Quarles, and Elijah Quarles. In addition to her father, Kim was preceded in death by her beloved son Richard Cody York. A celebration of Kim's life will be held on May 24th, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 607 S Bethlehem Road, Batesburg-Leesville, SC, service starting at 11:00 AM.
