Jorge Aguila Camarena Obituary

Jorge Alberto Aguila Camarena, 42, of Chapin, SC, died July 3, 202. Born March 9, 1983, in Jala, Nayarit, Mexico, to Jorge Aguila Martinez and Juana Genoveva Camarena.

Jorge discovered his passion for upholstery at a young age, learning the craft at his father's side. What began as a childhood skill turned into a successful career, where Jorge was known for his talent and dedication.

He found joy in drawing, singing Mariachi karaoke, and sharing his love of soccer-both as a player and a proud coach to his children. His happiest moments were spent in the company of his kids, as well as with his family and close friends.

Jorge's outgoing personality lit up the room. He had an infectious spirit and a deep love for food, fun, and togetherness.

He is survived by his children, Jorge, Jovanni, Jonathan, Josiah, and Ariel, all of Chapin, SC; his father, Jorge Aguila Martinez; his mother, Juana Genoveva Camarena Cuevas; his sister, Claudia Karina Aguila Camarena; all of Jala, Nayarit, Mexico; his brother, Julio Cesar Aguila Camarena, of Little Mountain, SC; and the mother of his children, Ana Aguila, of Chapin, SC.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. A gathering of family and friends will follow beginning at noon until 3:00 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home – Chapin.
