James Zedosky Obituary

James Robert (Bob) Zedosky, 84, of Blythewood, SC, entered into rest on Friday, September 26, 2025. Bob was born in McKeesport PA, on August 1.1941 and spent his youth in Dundalk, Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland, where he met his wife of 61 years, Lenore. He is survived by his two children, Michael Zedosky and his wife, Tammy and Kristen Sims and her husband, Brian; and four beautiful grandchildren, Drew, Taylor, Davis, and Reese. He was a devout Christian and believed that hard work and fairness were important in all he did. Bob worked for DuPont for 37 years, but his real passion was carpentry. He built houses and beautiful furniture including bedroom sets for his grandchildren. He loved to garden around the house. Bob was the President of the Board of Family Services for 10 years when he lived in Charleston, WV and since moving to Blythewood South Carolina he has been involved as a volunteer in the Washington Street United Methodist Church Soup Kitchen. He had an exceptional 35 year career with DuPont; during which he relocated to Camden, SC, Charleston, WV, and returned to Blythewood, SC in 2015. He and Lenore loved to travel together. Bob journeyed to all but five states in the US and Europe many times. He was very fond of his time spent in Italy and credited it as his favorite country in Europe. Bob also was a dog lover. He has had 5 Golden Retrievers, the latest Toby, was his best buddy. Memorials may be donated to Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, 3401 Trenholm Road Columbia, SC 29204. Service details are incomplete and will be announced by Shives Funeral Home.
