My condolences to the family of "Jimmie" Woodward. Jimmie and I became friends during his BTW days , before his transfer to CAJ. He also dated one of "Frogtown" neighbors before his 11th Airborne days in the Army. Our friendship continued during his post-Army time at SC State while I was at Morehouse. Though he was a big man who played center on the football team , Jimmy ran sprints for the Bulldog track team. I had the pleasure of watching my homeboy run in the SIAC track meets in Atlanta. He would put me up as his "guest" in his dorm room when I visited State because I was totally broke. Nevertheless, it enabled me to visit my State girlfriend. Jimmie was a great guy and I shall forever treasure his memories and my extraordinary pleasure of knowing him.
