George Wise Obituary

George Wise, Jr., was born December 16, 1949, in Fairfield County, South Carolina, the beloved son of the late George, Sr. and Lulamae Lawhorn Wise. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 28, 2026.

"Lilman," as he was affectionately called by family and friends, was educated in the public schools of Fairfield County.

George's kindness, generosity and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved and knew him. He believed in building, not just structures, but relationships and memories that will stand through the test of time.

Geroge's adventurous spirit and boundless enthusiasm will live on in the hearts of those whose lives he so lovingly touched.

Those who are cherishing fond and precious memories of George are his loving daughter, Valorie Wise Barber; caring son, Jonathan Wise; grandchildren, Stamariyon Wise, Shawnetta Wise Faust, Brandon Wise, Fredricus Wise, Geondra Browman, Divinta Pough, Daisha Glenn, Haley Wise, Shaylin Wise, Meadow Wise, and Auslin Wise; twenty-three (23) great-grandchildren; three (3) great-greatgrandchildren; caring brothers, Samuel Lee Wise, John Henry Wise, Melvin Wise, and Leon Wise; sisters, Janis Wise, Patricia Wise, Margie Wise Watson, Darlene (Sylvester) Hallmon, and Charlene (Solomon) Davis; as well as a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
