Eugene Brown Obituary

Eugene (Gene) Manning Brown, 73, of Swansea, unexpectedly left this world in his favorite chair on Thursday, September 4, 2025. He was born on January 27, 1952 to the late Dorris and Ida Mae Brown. He leaves behind, his wife of 50 years, Deborah (Debbie), son, Scott M. Brown, granddaughter, Kristi and grandson, Hayden. He is survived by his sister, Linda Corder and a brother-in-law, Donald Caulder, as well as two nieces, Kimberly Hare (Jacob) and Kayla Caulder; along with their children, Jake, Jeremy, Emily and Mia. Gene's life was marked by his quiet wisdom. He was a gentle soul who found joy in simple pleasures. In his early years, he had a love of hunting, fishing and Harley motorcycles. He always thought of himself as a " Harley Man ". His passion for classic westerns spoke to his appreciation for stories of resilience. Friends and relatives recall his talent for storytelling, spinning tales from his own life that sparked both laughter and thoughtfulness. Though his chair now sits empty, the echoes of his love and wisdom will linger in the family gatherings; the shared memories. In honoring Gene, his loved ones hold close the comfort of knowing his last moments were spent in peace, watching a religious service, a testament of his faith listening to the word of God. A celebration of Life will be held On Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 4-6 PM at The Barrel House At Hare Hollow Farm, 110 Bickley Road, Lexington, SC 29072 [email protected] 803-908-0878
