Elsie Adams Obituary

Elsie Seay Adams, 86, of Columbia, died on October 28, 2025. Born on March 5, 1939, in West Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Henry Melvin Seay and Katie Belle Seay. Mrs. Adams graduated from The South Carolina Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She spent many years serving others as a registered nurse. When she was not working, she enjoyed playing golf, capturing her club championship 3 times. She was also passionate about traveling the world and reading. Survivors include her brother, Carlisle (Ruth) Seay; sisters, Sadie Richards, Gayle (Bill) Thompson and sister-in-law, Kathy Seay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Heyward Seay (Patsy), Russell Seay (June), Herman Seay and brother-in-law AJ Richards. A burial will take place at a later date in Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Associations in loving memory of Mrs. Elise Fay Adams. https://www.alz.org/sc Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
