Dianne Fewell Obituary

Lexington, SC - Dianne Larson Fewell, 77, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, at Spring Oak Assisted Living in Lexington, South Carolina. Born on June 6, 1948, in Bainbridge, Georgia, Dianne was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Powell) Larson. She lived a life rich in love, curiosity, and adventure. A devoted mother, friend, and entrepreneur, Dianne's passions ranged from reading and fishing to Sunday drives and lifelong learning. Her career and interests were as vibrant as she was: she served as a librarian, piloted hot air balloons, owned a shop, raised worms for bait and co-authored the book As the Worm Turns with RJ Fewell. Dianne's legacy is one of warmth, wisdom, and a fearless spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Blackhurst of West Columbia, SC, and Katherine (Mike) Williamson of Aiken, SC; her stepdaughter Suzanne (Mark) Koehlke of Greensboro, NC; her grandchildren, Larson Blackhurst and Chase Williamson; and her niece and nephews. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roy Fewell Jr., and her beloved sister Nancy L. Buie. Her memory will continue to inspire those she loved and those who loved her. A private family service will be held at a later date.
