Darrell Bouknight Obituary

Darrell Andre Bouknight was born August 29, 1971, at 2:55, the beloved son of Mae F. Briggman Bouknight in Columbia, South Carolina. After a brief illness, he departed this earthly life on Sunday, September 21, 2025, (4:46 pm) at MUSC Downtown (the former Providence Hospital) in Columbia, South Carolina. Darrell was educated in the public schools of Richland School District One where he graduated from Eau Claire High School in the Class of 1991. He was employed at Yesterday's Restaurant for over twenty-five years, and with Henry's on Devine for the last seven years. Darrell attended First Calvary Baptist Church with his fiancé's Lisa and stepdaughters. Darrell loved to cook and grill. He was a BBQ Master on the grill and famous for his chili. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed his time of solitude with the water, fish, bait, and his fishing poles. Darrell loved his family and spent many special times and occasions with them. In the quiet moments Darrell enjoyed completing word search puzzles. Though he is no longer physically with us, he has left a legacy of love to all those who loved and knew him. Darrell was preceded in death by his first-born son, Darrell A. Niles aka "Boo Boo." Darrell's legacy lives on in the lives of his dedicated and devoted mother, Mae F. Briggman; loving and caring fiancé, Lisa Oxner; faithful and giving son, Dominique Niles; forever grateful and loving stepdaughters, Kenecia "Kee" Oxner and Kyland "Ky" Oxner; loveable granddaughter, Thyri Caldwell; devoted and loving brother, Chrishun Glover; along with a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and dear friends, all of whom will dearly miss him.
