Dale Hightower Obituary

Dale Hightower, a beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather, treasured brother, and loyal friend, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, surrounded by his family, all wearing orange.

Born February 13, 1963, to Olen and Barbara Hightower in Augusta, Ga., he is survived by his wife, Chealyn Hightower; his sons, Joshua (Megan) Hightower and Travis (Megan) Hightower; and his two cherished granddaughters, Kennedy and McKinley. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara, his "favorite sister," Denise, and nieces, Danielle, Deidra, and Shelby. His father, Olen, his sister, Cynthia, and his beautiful daughter, Courtney, predeceased him.

Known for his ever-present cup of coffee and quick-witted one-liners, Dale's humor and billowing laughter only added to his charm. An avid Clemson football fan, he cheered with the same enthusiasm he brought to the kitchen, where his culinary skills prepared delicious meals to share with those he loved. He spent years serving his community as a youth sports coach, guiding young lives. Dale was a man whose life radiated passion and held an individual uniqueness that was one in a million. His legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
