Chandria Eargle Obituary
Chandria Leona Eargle was born on July 19, 1979, in Columbia, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of Leon Sr. and Gloria A. Thompson Eargle. She entered into eternal rest in Charlotte, NC on Friday, July 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Chandria was a proud graduate of Chapin High School, where she balanced a full and joyful life-playing basketball and volleyball, performing in the band, and even earning the crown as Miss Chapin 1997, a title she carried with elegance and pride.
Chandria's love for learning led her to Clemson University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Studies in 2000. Her passion for both education and community was evident as she became an active member of the Clemson Black Alumni Council, remaining deeply connected to her alma mater. A dedicated Clemson Tigers fan, Chandria made it a tradition to cheer on her favorite orange and purple team every fall. In 2014, she furthered her academic pursuits by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Gardner-Webb University, a testament to her intellectual drive, resilience, and commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.
She built a successful career in the banking industry, where her professionalism, warmth, and tireless work ethic earned her deep respect from colleagues and clients alike. Most recently, she worked with Wells Fargo as a Senior Lead Control Management Officer, VP, where she was not just a trusted professional but a source of positivity and encouragement to many.
Above all, Chandria lived a life grounded in faith and filled with joy. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Greater Hopewell AME Church, where she actively shared her love, faith, and commitment to spiritual growth.
Those who knew Chandria will remember her love of travel, always eager for a new adventure, a new city, a new country, or a new favorite restaurant. She had a curious spirit and a desire to explore the world around her. When she wasn't traveling, you could often find her with a book in hand, lost in the pages of a story, or relaxing in front of the TV, indulging in her favorite shows.
She often volunteered at the hospital and Blumenthal Theatre, always looking for ways to give back to her community. Chandria had a deep appreciation for music and dancing, often the first to start the party and the last to leave the floor. Whether it was singing around the house or dancing to her favorite songs, her joy was infectious. Her vibrant energy and love for life made her unforgettable.
Chandria was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Isaiah and Dorothy Eargle, and her maternal grandfather, John Thompson.
Chandria is survived by her loving parents, Leon Sr. and Gloria A. Eargle; her devoted siblings, Felicia (Anthony) Taylor and Leon (Jessica) Eargle Jr.; maternal grandmother, Ruby Thompson; three adoring nephews, Marcus Taylor, Bryson Taylor, and Julian Eargle; one precious niece, Layla Taylor; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who cherished her dearly. Her presence brought laughter, her strength brought comfort, and her faith inspired many.
To know Chandria was to be reminded of life's beauty-through her laughter, her stories, her kindness, and her loyalty. Though we mourn her passing, we rejoice in the knowledge that Chandria's soul is at peace. Her love will live on in each of us forever.
