Andrew Todd Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew Creswell Todd, 49, who left this world peacefully on September 27, 2025, surrounded by his family. Andrew lived a life marked by love, laughter, faith, and service. A devoted son, brother, husband, father, and friend, he had a gift for making people feel valued and cared for. Fellowship and connection were the heartbeat of his life, and those who knew him will remember the way he built lasting bonds with everyone he met. Professionally, Andrew was an excellent financial planner, not because of numbers on a page, but because he cared deeply about his clients' futures. His work was another expression of his generosity and his desire to see others thrive. Andrew also had a mischievous sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye. He was still cracking jokes in his last moments, reminding those around him that joy and laughter are among life's greatest gifts. Music was another of his passions-he loved all kinds and was always the first to say yes to a concert. A true Gamecock through and through, Andrew was happiest when surrounded by fellow fans, cheering on his team and joyfully shouting a rousing "cock-a-doodle-doo" alongside them. As a follower of Christ, Andrew lived his life in service to others. His faith was a quiet but constant guide, reflected in his compassion, his kindness, and his devotion to family and community. His faith was in constant growth as he surrounded himself with humble, transparent Godly men within his various bible studies. He was especially proud to be a co-founder of Run Forest Run. This raised funds for the Forest Lake Educational Foundation which was created by his father. It combined his love of running with his commitment to supporting the next generation. An avid runner and outdoorsman, Andrew was always happiest under open skies, whether on a trail or beside a river. Though he loved fishing, he often joked that he was far better at casting a line than catching anything on it. The way Andrew lived his life provided a model for others to love unconditionally and to serve selflessly. Simply knowing him inspired those around him to be better versions of themselves-a testament to the depth of his character and the light he carried. Andrew was preceded in death by his father, Albert Creswell Todd, III. He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah, and their two sons, Sam (Abby) Todd and Henry Todd, who were the center of his world. He is also survived by his mother, Debbie (Marvin) Jones; his sister, Anna (Chris) Majure; his brothers, David (Lilla) Todd and John (Wimberly) Todd; his stepbrother, Christopher (Melanie) Jones; and his stepsister, Catherine (Todd) Wulforst. His life was enriched by his devoted extended family of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends who became family. A celebration of Andrew's life will be held at 12pm on October 10, 2025 at Forest Lake Presbyterian Church, 6500 N. Trenholm Road, Columbia, with a reception to immediately follow at Rockbridge Club, 4135 Rockbridge Rd, Columbia, SC. Andrew Creswell Todd lived fully, loved deeply, and gave freely. Though he will be dearly missed, his spirit endures in the laughter he sparked, the relationships he nurtured, and the example of faith and service he leaves behind.
