Zennie Quinn Obituary

I had the pleasure of serving with Zennie on the James Island Planning Commission. His friendly nature and generous service to his community will be sincerely missed. I send peace and love to his family and dear friends as we celebrate his life and mourn our loss.

Zinnie Jr was a good guy. Ms Nellie and Mr Zinnie where my parents Dolly Ruth & Marvin Rouse best friends all through their lives. Zinnie Jr was always around when I went to visit too. We shared many a good time. My moma loved that boy. I can still hear her say that about Zinnie Jr. I spoke with him a few months ago and enjoyed our conversation and can't believe he's gone. I told him I would be 67 in February and he said I can't believe how old we have gotten. Whew... Right he was. Time stands still for none but we can cherish our memories. My sincere condolences to his beloved family.

I speak on behalf of the Baxter-Patrick James Island Library. Zennie was a kind man that was always a joy to be around. He was always courteous and a gentleman to everyone at our library. He will be dearly, dearly missed.

I worked with Zennie for many years at the Town of James Island as the Secretary to the Planning Commission. Always very kind. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to the family.

I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Zennie. We grew up together and he was a very good friend. I will miss him.

Zennie was a dear and close friend of mine. He will truly be missed.

Zinnie and I served on the Planning Commission for the Town of James Island together for about eight years. He was a good man and always had a good attitude. I will miss Zinnie.

I was deeply sadden to hear of the passing of Zennie Quinn Junior and express my sincere condolences to his family. I grew up with "Little Zennie" as we called him around the Liddell Crossroads in North Carolina. I was his neighbor and distant cousin. We had great times and many fond memories as youth around that rural farming community. He inspired me to attend his alma mater, NC State University. I was greatly appreciative of his help and wise advice that got me through NC State University. Rest in peace my friend!

Zennie was a dedicated public servant. For several years, he was Chairman of the Neighborhood Council for the Town of James Island as well as a member of the Town's Planning Commission. He worked tirelessly on behalf of his community and was dedicated to making the Town of James Island a better place for everyone. His leadership will be greatly missed.

I cut his hair for a few years . He was a good friend also . He was kind . He had a good personality .

I did not know Zennie well as we only met a few times but he was a kind and uplifting person. He always showed me kindness and friendship. I think he was a happy and great man. God bless Zennie and his family.

Today I want to remember my dear friend Zennie who lit up every room with that mischievous grin and endless generosity. We met ant The Elks, he became my dance partner and from that moment, I knew I´d found someone who would always have my back. I will miss our weekly calls checking on each other and sharing our life moments. I love you my sweet Zennie!
