Winifred Smith Obituary


SMITH, Winifred Entered into eternal rest on the morning of April 5, 2005, Winifred Martha Currey Smith, widow of Edward A. Smith, co-owner of Smith & Smith Gun Shop and Indoor Shooting Range. Residence, North Charleston, SC. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in St. Peter and St. John's Episcopal Church, 1393 Miles Drive, Charleston, Saturday morning, April 9, 2005 at 9:30 o'clock. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL this (Friday) evening from seven until nine o'clock. Mrs. Smith was born March 12, 1916 in Grafton, West Virginia, the daughter of J.J. Currey and Florence Findley Currey. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. Peter and St. John's Episcopal Church and was a retired lunch-room staff member of Lambs Elementary School. Surviving are her two sons, Daniel Arthur Smith and wife Glenda Smith of North Charleston, SC; David Edward Smith and wife Janet Smith of Franklin, MA; two granddaughters, Stephanie Zeliff of North Charleston and Jessica Chiusolo of Marshfield, MA; and a great grandson, James Daniel Zeliff. Danny and Glenda, I am so sorry to hear about Danny's Mom, I remember her most for her smile when Danny was around her and teasing her, he would always make her laugh. Take care and if you need me just call. Love Terry

Aunt Winnie was my Great Aunt. I will never forget her letting me stay with her for a few weeks when I started CofC. She was like a grandmother to me. She will be missed by all who knew her.
