Wilson "Willie" Riggs, Jr. Awendaw - Wilson "Willie" Riggs, Jr., 81, of Awendaw, South Carolina, husband of Carol Faye Roberson Riggs, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 28, 2022. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 11:00 am in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel. Willie was born October 9, 1941 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, son of the late Wilson Riggs, Sr. and the late Clarice Massalon. He was a Fire Fighter. Willie loved being outdoors especially when he was hosting an oyster roast. He was the former owner of Leisure Time Lawn Service and was a member of Church of God of Mount Pleasant. He will be remembered for the way he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol Riggs; daughter, Connie Schulz (Robbie) of Mount Pleasant, SC; grandson, Robert Schulz II of Charleston; granddaughter, Christina Ruth (Bryan) of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Elizabeth Crockett (Dave) of Seneca, SC; brother-in-law, James Roberson (Michelle) of Goose Creek; sister-in-law, Irene Ritchie (Tony) of Awendaw; great-grandchildren, Talia Ruth and Axel Schulz.
