At Camden Military Academy Trotti was not only a perfect Commandant but a kind and gentle man. As a faculty officer I shared with him those years in the '80s. I didn't know he had been a hero but he honored me as a friend.
My deepest sympathy to Sandy. God bless you all.

Dear Sandy and family, I am sorry I am not in SC now to be with you for the services. I know you have all been through a lot and how much you loved Trotti. His friends are all proud to have known Trotti and proud of his service to our country. When we were growing up in Allendale, Trotti was our leader in everything. We spent hours playing Army and Navy on our front porch, perfect battleship. So many good memories...

Trotti, you will never be forgotten. I was once told you feared that you would not be remembered, too many people loved you for you to ever be forgotten. You were a hero and who would have known all you did for your country as you were such a humble soul....I will miss you and especially your dry sense of humor.
