Wilmer Dove Summerville - Wilmer Dove, 84, of Summerville formerly of Darlington, SC died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Veterans Victory House Nursing Home in Walterboro, SC. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1 PM at Peace Presbyterian Church in Goose Creek, SC. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the church. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 3 PM in Grove Hill Cemetery in Darlington, directed by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home in Darlington. Mr. Dove was born in Rowland, NC. He was the son of the late, Ruben Kershaw Dove and Inez Elizabeth Morris Dove. Mr. Dove was a member of the Darlington Presbyterian Church, where he served on many church boards. He was also a member of the Darlington Lions Club and served his country in the United States Air Force for 6 years. Mr. Dove moved to Moncks Corner in 2007 to be close to his daughter, where he became a member of Peace Presbyterian Church in Goose Creek, SC after the death of his wife, Mildred Alene Powers Dove. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Surviving are his daughter, Dr. Debbie Kidd of Goose Creek, SC; his grandchildren, Casey Elizabeth Kidd of Monks Coroner and Judson Taylor Kidd of Charleston, SC; his great grandchildren, Garrison Wiggins and Coleman Wiggins; his brother, Robert "Bobby" Dove of Florence; his sister, Betty Byrd and husband, Neal of Mullins; and many close family and friends.
