To the family of Willie Townes, may God grant you comfort and strength during your bereavement. Willie was a gentle and kind spririt. His demeanor was the same every time I saw him - with a smile that would light the room. Indeed, he will be missed.

The first time we met, it was as if we'd known you forever. I don't think you met strangers! Lol you were so kind, funny, and a gifted baker! You brought light to the GADSON clan. We'll miss you Will. We'll do all we can for your son. Love you.

To the family of "Roach" as we who knew him so well called him. On behalf of the Brown's, Odom, andMurphy family we would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family. Roach grew up with my sons and nephew right next door to my mom's. I had the opportunity to get to know him well. He was a gentle giant. He will truly be missed. God bless.

Willie was the sweetest. We're all going to miss his beautiful smile, his sharp way of dressing and the way that anyone could confide in him and you never hear it again. May God comfort his family and friends during this time.

To the family of Willie R Townes Jr. Another soldier has gone on home. I had the pleasure of working with Willie for many years. Being a father we often talked about our children. Being a baker we often talked about baked goods, especially his cookies and my lemon pound cake. Willie will always be remember for his pleasant demeanor and smile. May the family and his close friends be comforted by the fact that Willie was well thought of and well respected. I will continue to pray for strength and peace for you all.

I will always remember Will as a wonderful husband and a super, super daddy. He was always smiling and pleasant and seemed to love life as much as he loved his wife and son. We'll all miss him for a very long time.

I sat next to Willie at Verizon for a year. He always told me something positive every day. I could count on it. I'm just find in out about this tragedy and my heart goes out to you all. You are all in my prayers.

This is really hard to accept. I would never imagine that I would be displaying these words for you so soon in life, but our father above has plans that neither you or I could've change. Big Will, the news of your passing took many of us by surprise. I will always remember you being everyones homeboy at USC. You were always nice and treated everybody like you had know them for years. You also made us laugh with the things you would say, but you were always honest. You will be missed by us all. You will not be forgotten.

Words will never be able to express the impact that you had on my life with times we shared. The recent events that impacted you made god see fit to call you to his kingdom and I have to gather all my strength from within to accept that. You will truly be missed, but I know you are where you need to be. My prayers go out to your family and I know your "lil man" as you always called him when we talked, will miss you more than me.

For we never understand God's timing however I'm still trying to process your departure. No one could have told me that our last conversation would have happened a week before God said he was ready for you. I am still trying to process your passing. I know you are singing with angels. I will remember you as the happy go lucky guy with a good sense of humor.

I am still in shock to learn of Willie's passing. I pray that strength and healing will cover your family. That infectious smile and loving laugh will be remembered by Bulldogs and Gamecocks and all who knew him. Burke High Class of 95 has lost a great one!

Willie I can't believe you left me without speaking to me or telling me how your day was. Willie I'm going truly miss you BC of the late nights calls at work just to see how your went and too see if you had anything too eat. God makes no mistakes. You always use to say u were tired but I'll be alright. Willie God know you were tired and he was making a place for you too get your rest eternally. Dearest Brother, words can not express the emptiness that I feel knowing you are no longer with us. You were blessed with many gifts but your ability to bring inspiration and joy to the lives of all those you came in contact with to include myself was your trademark blessing. Hearing the news of your passing is still hard for me to take in b/c you were just like another son of mine that God allow for me to take in. The many visits to the house, the laughs we shared at the dinner table, the many conversations we had will never be forgotten. You will be truly miss, but will forever hold a place our hearts.
