William Wallace Summerville - William Wayne Wallace, age 83, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022. William was born January 6, 1939, in Spruce Pine, AL, to William and Alta Wallace. William is survived by his beloved wife, Eula Dell McDougle Wallace; his children, Suzanne and Marty; 3 grandchildren, Nicole, Michaela, and Athena; 1 great-grandson, Isaac; his siblings, Becky, Charles, and Bobby; and many extended family members and friends. William is preceded in death by his aunts and uncles. William was a Christ centered man who attended Old Fort Baptist Church where he served many years as a deacon. William loved spending time with his family. He served in the United States Air Force for 21 years and retired. He then went on to work for the United States Postal Service where he worked for 20 years before retiring. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminology and a Master's degree in History. He will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him. There will be a visitation held for William on Thursday April 28, 2022, at 1:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406 with a memorial chapel service to follow at 2:00.
