NORTH BALTIMORE -- William (Bill) Lindsey Thomas, 79, of North Baltimore, Ohio passed away on November 19th, 2025. He was born on June 30th, 1946, in Findlay, Ohio to the late Hoyal and Redora (Brumbaugh) Thomas. He married his wife, Beth (Bryan), on February 12th, 1969, and she survives.
Bill graduated from North Baltimore High School in 1964. He then went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1967. He was a member of American Legion Post 539 in North Baltimore.
Bill Retired from Chrysler in 2001 after working there for 33 years. He was a die-hard Ohio State Buckeyes fan and could be found watching the games with his sons, grandsons and son-in-law most Saturdays. He also was a Yankees fan and spent countless hours watching them play.
Bill always enjoyed his westerns, especially those starring John Wayne, and chances are if there was no ball game on, he could be found watching one of those. He also enjoyed all his vacations. Whether it was the summer trips down to Tennessee cruising through Cades Cove with his family, or yearly trips down to Aruba with his wife Beth and his famous "Aruba friends".
Bill will be remembered by those who knew and loved him for his smart remarks, his ornery and "grumpy" personality and his one-of-a-kind ways of showing his love. Bill is preceded in death by his daughter, mother, father, sister Elsie and brother Jack.
He is survived by his wife Beth of North Baltimore; children: John (Tanya) of Fostoria, Ronda (Joe) Kepling of North Baltimore, Wesley (Amanda) Thomas of Woodville; grandchildren: Zachary (Callie) Engard, Allison and Gunner Kepling, Leia Thomas, Griffin and Lydia Thomas; great-grandchildren: Brielle, Carter and Camden Engard; brother Dave Thomas of Gonzales, LA; sisters: Peggy Thomas of North Baltimore and Emily Piner of Tennessee; mother-in-law, Sally Halstead of North Baltimore; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
There will be no services per Bill's wishes. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Crates Funeral Home, North Baltimore.
In Lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the National MS Society and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and/or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

So sorry for your loss Beth and Family. Bill was definitely one of a kind, quick witted with a sense of humor, great guy. We always called him Popcorn, but I never knew why, so ran into him at the Legion and ask him, he just smiled and said he didn't know, I think he may have.
May God Bless and be with you all during this difficult time !!!

I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of our trips to Aruba and Pigeon Forge. Bill was a good brother to Jack. They were very close. Bill visited him faithfully through Jack's many hospital stays. They were even stationed together some of their time while they were serving in the Navy. I can picture them together now talking sports. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

It is hard to lose a loved one but remember the joy and good times. The sorrow will never go away completely but will ease with time. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time of your grief. God Bless
