William Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR, William CONWAY - William Franklin "Frank" Taylor, age 58 of Rosehaven Drive, died Wednesday, February 6, 2008. Mr. Taylor was born in Conway, SC, the son of Mary Lee Poston Taylor and the late Jack Vernon Taylor. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and past president of the Mens Sunday School Class. Mr. Taylor was a 1967 graduate of Conway High School and graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a B.S. degree in Business. He was past president of the Wild Rose Homeowners Association, and a member of the Conway Masonic Lodge #65 AFM. He was a US Air Force Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Taylor was employed as a salesman with Exit Realty, and was former member of Woodbury Hunting Club. He was a founding member of Waccamaw Chapter of Wild Turkey Federation, and a founding member of Waccamaw Chapter of Wildlife Federation. Mr. Taylor was an avid turkey hunter and one of his passions was making turkey calls and giving them to his friends. He loved to hunt and fish. Surviving in addition to his mother of Conway, SC are, his wife, Pat Taylor; his mother-in-law, Agnes McNeill of Charleston, SC; one daughter, Jackie Taylor; one brother, Daniel W. Taylor all of Conway, SC; two sisters, Lee Taylor Colhoun and husband Bruce of Raleigh, NC, and Sally J. Taylor of Charleston, SC; six nephews, Andrew and Barrett Colhoun, Trae, Bo, Brett, and Spincer McNeill; two grandnieces; brother-in-law, Buddy McNeill and wife Donna. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor. Memorials may be sent to Trinity United Methodist Church, Covenant House, 198 Long Avenue, Conway, SC 29526. I only knew Frank for about 2 years, but in that short amount of time he brought many smiles to my face and a kind warmness to my heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
