I just found out about Sandy´s passing but wanted to extend my sincere condolences to Catherine and the entire Stuhr family. Sandy was a great man who had compassion for serving the greater good. I had the privilege of being a staff member during his tenure as the Board Chair of Goodwill. His contributions personally and financially kept the doors open when Goodwill struggled. As the then CEO (now retired) I was honored to induct him into the Goodwill Hall of Fame in 2004 in recognition of his contributions that have allowed Goodwill to provide services to tens of thousands of people needing a hand up. Sandy was a great man and will be missed by many.
A tremendous legacy reflective of a great man!

My thoughts and prayers to all family, friends and employees during the loss of a great leader. I've known Mr. Sandy all of my life and spent many times at the funeral home when my parents worked at Stuhr's. I remember running into Mrs. Fonda and Mr. Sandy at the Cavallero restaurant more times than I can remember. I pray you all find peace and comfort in your memories.

Captain Sandy will be missed by many. He was a an incredible supporter to the CCA- East Cooper
Chapter and donated many hunting and fishing trips that raised money to support our conservation efforts. He was a true Southern Gentleman and loved the low country and worked tirelessly to preserve it.
