To the family of Edward Stokes ---

What can I say, I am so very sad. I met Ed when he first moved to Charleston many years ago, when we were young. We rode motorcycles together for many decades. I can truly say he was one of a kind. He was an outgoing, forward moving, prosperous guy that always did things his way and never looked back. He had a positive outlook on everything. His personality and friendship will never be forgotten. Always offering a hand to those in need, he had many friends from all walks of life. I was proud to be one of them. And I know he was so proud of his family, because he told me so. I could write a book on Ed but I'm sure all that knew him, knew of his attributes. I am an old man now but I cried too. May the Good Lord comfort your heart and give you peace in the coming days ---
