I was thinking of Bill and came across this obituary just now. I was extremely fortunate to report to him at New England Life and we were friends and neighbors in North Andover were our sons were in cub scouts together.
Bill was a wonderful friend and I will always miss him.

Dear Slater Family, we are so sorry for your loss of such an amazing man. From my earliest memories from the 1990s of Mr. Slater getting the hot tub ready for us or bringing us to a rooftop in Boston for the fireworks, to my most recent memories of him at Ceci´s scholarship awards, he always had a smile. He was a wonderful person and he will be missed. Love to you all. Love, Karen, John, Maggie and Grace Carroll of North Andover.
