William Simpson Obituary

MSgt. William "Bill" LeRoy Simpson, USAF, Ret. GOOSE CREEK - MSgt. William "Bill" LeRoy Simpson, USAF, Ret., 78, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, husband of Dell Cranshaw Simpson, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 7, 2025. His service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road, at 1:00 pm. Additionally, a memorial service will be held at American Legion Post 166, 116 Howe Hall Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445, at 5:00 pm. William was born August 1, 1947 in Columbia, South Carolina, son of the late LeRoy Simpson and the late Betty Jane Duffy Simpson. He retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant. William was very active in the American Legion Post 166 and was the 6th district Commander. He was also the 40/8 National Commander, 2022. He was member of the Masonic Fraternity and Shriner's. William loved playing golf and playing poker every Thursday. In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by children: Angela Christine Simpson of Goose Creek and William LeRoy Simpson, Jr. (Robin) of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren: Rachel (Chris), Avery, Bryce and Lacy; great-grandchild, Charlotte; siblings: Loretta Young of Indiantown FL, Edward Simpson (Denise) of Chapin, SC, and Duffy Simpson (Angie) of Blythwood, SC; and many loved nieces and nephews.
