William Salisbury Obituary

William Tolman Salisbury Summerville - William Tolman Salisbury, 84, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at his residence. Private graveside funeral services were held Friday, January 22, 2021 at Summerville Cemetery. Tolman was born April 16, 1936 in Summerville, SC, a son of Evans Thomas Salisbury and Louise Henley Salisbury. He was a retired farmer and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Tolman was a lifelong Clemson Tiger fan. He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was an active member of the community: a member of the South Carolina Soil and Water Conservation for 45 years, a Founding member of the Summerville Boat Club, and a long-standing member of the Summerville Exchange Club. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Inis Lipham Salisbury; son, William "Bill" Salisbury, Jr. and his wife, Lisa; daughter, Kathy Jean Salisbury; sister, Rosemary Salisbury Ward; five grandchildren, Jennifer Wright and husband, Dan, Rebecca Richardson and husband, Parker, William Salisbury and wife, Lillie, Clint Yarborough and wife, Cherie, Stanton Yarborough; and six great-grandchildren. William was predeceased by his parents, Evans and Louise Salisbury; a brother, Thomas Salisbury (Mildred); and his sister, Molly Bell (John).
