William "Bill" Roper CHARLESTON - Mr. William Bill Roper, 90, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of the late Margaret Rampersant Roper, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 19, 2024. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 570 Rutledge Ave., Charleston, SC 29403. He will be laid to rest in Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, SC 29902. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening, October 23, 2024, at the Church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. He leaves to celebrate, his love of life, children: Linda Lockhart, Carolyn Kirkland, William Roper, Jr. (Diana), Ruth Grant (Samuel), Brenda Roper, Thomas Roper, and Margaret Roper-Jenkins; grandchildren: Nolan (Chanell), Dominique (Tamika), Genese (Shamar), Shavon, Laurice (Nelson), Sharmaine, Paige, Kayln, and Thomas Jr.; thirteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends and colleagues.
