William Roach Obituary

William Lenwood Roach GOOSE CREEK - William Lenwood Roach, 77, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, husband of his beloved bride of 57 years, Carol Colson Roach, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 13, 2025. Born December 5, 1947 in Conway, South Carolina, Bill was the son of the late James Henry Roach and the late Wreatha Joyner Mull. He served in the Army with the 101st Airborne in Vietnam. A proud Veteran that volunteered at The Wall and was able to touch many lives that came through the park. He was also very active on social media Veteran pages such as The Nam, creating pictures honoring his brothers in war. He was known in Goose Creek for the Crowfield Tree that was decorated every Christmas for the community to enjoy. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is lovingly known by friends and family as Red, Dad, Poppa, Bill, and Bug. In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his 2 loving daughters: Kandice Roach Shaw and Kerin Roach Welch (Bill), and 6 grandchildren: Will, Alex, Thomas, Elizabeth, Katie, and Kassidy; as well as a host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 5 brothers: Mack Conner, Burlon Conner, Eugene Roach, Dalton Roach, and Arthur Roach and his beloved mother-in-law, Delores Colson. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 6:00 pm, and the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior. Interment will take place in Beaufort National Cemetery at a later date. Flowers or donations to the Wounded Warrior Project in his honor will be accepted. A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com.

Dear Carol & family,
My deepest sympathy along with my prayers are being sent. I liked Bill because he was a great guy with that sweet smile every time I saw him. Carol, my heart is with you as you grieve his loss. I know how much ya´ll loved each other.
