I cant explain it but still to this day William comes into my dreams at least a few times a year. I learned a lot from him in the shipyard. I know he is with the Lord looking down on us all.

I worked with William for 5 1/2 years at Atlantic Marine in Jacksonville, we quickly went from coworkers to good friends. William took me under his wing as a young man who knew nothing about painting ships to someone who could paint with the best of them. We spent many many days working together from early morning until late at night. He constantly pushed me to do a better job. I could tell a thousand funny stories of times we had in the shipyard, and it trully pains me to not be at the funeral to share them with his family. Working with William is the only thing that got me threw alot of my time there, he could always make you laugh. He spoke often of his family, always commenting on how proud he was of the children, and how he looked forward to moving home closer to his brother. I pray for the family to somehow find peace knowing William is now in a better place where no harm or foul can find him. Tomorrow I will post pictures I had taken of us on one of the last ships we painted together. If any family would like copies please feel free to email me and I will get them to you asap. God bless you William and thank you for all the help and knowledge you gave me and for all the words of encouragement when I left to go to the fire dept. I'll never forget you. And God bless all the surviving family.
