William O'Brien Obituary

William "Billy" O'Brien N. Charleston - William Francis O'Brien, 61, passed away at his North Charleston home on June 7th, 2018. Bill was born March 16th, 1957 in Mobile, Alabama to Andrew O'Brien and Lillian Langley. Growing up on the Apalachee River is where he learned to love hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. After honorable discharge from the USN, Bill settled in Charleston and started a family. He had a professional and personal interest in all things mechanical; he didn't believe that anything was "broken beyond repair". He is survived by his daughter, Mary O'Brien and partner, Loni Carter; son Billy O'Brien, Jr. and wife, Lucinda Boyce; siblings, Brenda Adams, Leah Copeland, Andrew O'Brien, Tommy Joe Mastin, Sheryle Nicholas, Bernard O'Brien, Paula Sullivan and Denise Wilder; 7 nieces; 7 nephews; 6 great nieces, 7 great nephews; 1 great, great niece; and countless friends. Services will be held June 18th at Carolina Memorial Park on Rivers Avenue at 2:00 pm, with a quiet graveside remembrance to follow at Riverview Memorial Park, where he will be laid to rest with his wife of 34 years, Tammy.
