Dear Kyndra, Justin & Alyssa, I am so sorry to hear of Billy's death. Anna was catching up on her friends' news online last night when she came across word of your loss. I did not know Billy personally, but it is clear from reading that he was a wonderful person, a great husband, father and friend. Anna was very sad as she has fond memories of Alyssa's Dad. May God comfort you in your sorrow. Your entire family is in our prayers.
Love, Jan

Kyndra, Miss Martha, and family, I know this is late, but I just found out about Billy. I am so very sorry for all of you. When I think about Billy, it brings a big smile to my face. As a young boy at Pinecrest, I always wanted to grow up and be like Billy and the group that he was with at the church. He was really one of the good ones and always one of my favorite people. God bless all of you during this time. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers, and if there is anything that I can do to help any of you, please let me know. God bless all of you.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

September 29, 2007

Dear Kyndra,
Please know that my heart goes out to you in a way that I would not have truly known had I not lost my sweet husband just last Saturday. Someone emphasized to me this week that now we are walking through the shadow of death. We don't stay there.

Praise our wonderful, awesome God that our husbands are with Him eternally because they accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. That is all that matters. His timing is perfect.

I know you will miss Billy terribly. Draw on God's comforting Words, our Pinecrest days, and family and friends that I know love you dearly.

My love to all of you (Holly, too).

Kyndra and family,

I am just one of the many people who knew Billy through golf. He is, without question, one of the most enjoyable people I have ever known. When he stopped by to see me while I was living in Jacksonville, FL, it was a visit I really needed as I was missing all my friends in Charleston. Billy's unexpected visit made me feel so much better and was the reflection of a thoughtful and generous person.

You will be in my prayers that the God of peace will keep your hearts and minds through this difficult time.

Love and hugs to each of you.

I am very saddened by the sudden departure of my friend Bill so soon in his life. I worked with him at one time then eventually saw him at different account locations later on in our careers. We would always take time to chat with one another and see how things were going a long.
I last spoke with him about two weeks a go by phone and he sounded great. Writing this with tears in my eyes I always looked up to him. I am very sorry for your loss of a great man.
May he enjoy putting on the greens with the Lord.
God Bless,
Kevin C. Hull

Kendra, Justin, Alyssa, Martha, Pat, Bubba and Family. Words can't explain my feeling of sadness for having lost Billy. It is like someone kicked me square in the gut. He was a friend, Co-worker, teammate, hero and fellow Church member. There is nothing I wouldn't have done for him. Now that my emotions have subsided somewhat, I still can't get him off my mind. Memories of Billy come flooding back. Billy was a unique person with the ability to make people comfortable around him. I never heard one person ever say they didn't like Billy Moore. Shucks, how could you not like a guy like him? He was such a great person. Billy just loved people. He also loved his Family and Mother, Dad very much. He
was extremly close to them. Justin, your Dad we extremely proud of you, and Alyssa, you were the apple of his eye. Kendra, you know how much he loved you! He always spoke of his Mother with such tenderness and held her on a pedestal. He would cut up and tease with his Dad all the time. Both of them loved to tease each other. Some of the funniest and best times of my life were when I was around Herb and Billy. Like the time, we came home from playing golf and Herb forgot to take off his golf shoes and ruined Martha's kitchen tile floor, (Golf spikes were steel then) and blamed it on Billy. (but I think Martha knew better) Herb loved Billy and was extremely proud of him. There was noting they wouldn't do for each other. Just being around those two was a wonderful, fun experience.
Billy and I worked together for several years. It was through Billy's efforts that we achieved the highest sales record our department had ever received. I remember one Monday morning Billy came in to work with a dejected look on his face, and when I asked him what was wrong, he replied: "Jeffro, You ain't gonna believe this. Yesterday I shot a 66 and got beat 4 strokes." That showed the competitive side of Billy that some never saw. Another side of Billy most people never knew was his dislike for needles. I remember one time we were making a sales call together and I was talking to the customer about his insulation pump that he wore. I noticed Billy had left, but just thought he had gone to the men's room or something. After I finished talking with the customer I went looking for Bill and found him in the doorway of the men's room, with blood and dust all over his clothes and elbows, and bruises on his knees and his hair was a mess. When he saw me, his eyes rolled and he said: "Jeffro, I think I'm going to pass out or have already passed out." After we had assured he was alright, he told me he didn't even like to hear about needles or anything about them. Inwardly I was amused that this "All-American" guy that possessed all the good qualities of life, couldn't talk about getting a shot. He later told me laughingly about a time he, "When down for the count" when a Nurse gave him a flu shot. No matter what the occasion, Billy could laugh at himself too. That was a part of him we all loved and admired, and he could tell a story with all the intimate details that made it hilarious. It was great fun to just sit and listed to Billy tell stories of his High School days and playing Football and Baseball. Like the time he and two of his best buddys took a School Bus for a joy ride and got caught.
I could go on and on about stories of Bill Moore. He will be deeply missed by me and a whole bunch of folks. I loved Billy Moore and thought of him as my brother. Always with the mention of his name will a warm spot glow in my heart. I, along with everyone who knew Billy was extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful person placed in our lives. I'll forever remember him with fondest of memories. We have lost one that is irreplaceable. It is my prayer that the love of the Holy Spirit will fill the void in our hearts and lives and may his memory be forever in the foremost of our minds.

Kyndra & Mrs. Moore,
I just couldn't believe it when I heard about Billy! This kind of thing just can't be understood by us but know that Billy made a big difference in my Life & in so many others lives. I will always remember the Pinecrest Youth Group & how Billy always had a smile (or was that a mischievous grin??) on his face. Be comforted by so many people who care & are feeling your loss. Billy never met a stranger & I was so blessed to grow up with him. May God's peace be with all of you.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.
2 Cor. 1:3-5

Words cannot express my sorrow for you at this time. I had the privilege and fun of traveling with Bill last November. I trust that he is with the LORD and may God be your source of comfort at this time. He is adequate for your every need.
God bless you,

Kyndra, Justin, and Alyssa...

When my Dad called me with the news, it took me almost a whole day to understand what had actually happened. But God needed him, and He called him up. I have no doubt that Billy is there to watch over us, and tease Paul whenever he shoots a high score of golf. I will be home soon to personally give you all of my sympathies. Until then I will be praying for you all.

I still remember Billy carrying his football gear to our bus stop for after school practice in junior high school. The last time I spoke to him was at our 20th reunion for St Andrews. He went out of his way to find me to mention something I'd done for him in high school. I'd forgotten about drawing caricatures of him playing football and he said he still had them. He was a great friend to have and I'll never forget him or his friendship. My condolences to all of his family.
