We were very sorry to hear of your loss. Brian was a great guy with a big heart and a commitment to make our community a better place for its citizens. He was also our accountant, and we will miss him.

Brian and I were classmates in high school. We last saw each other at our 30th reunion a few years ago. Just as when we were in school, his kindness and goodness were obvious. His passing leaves a hole for so many people. Prayers continue for your family.

I did not know William but am a friend of Marlene Fordyce who I dearly love. My sincere condolences to this family. He is now seeing Jesus face to face. Oh what glory to walk hand in hand with Jesus. I am sorry for your loss. I enjoyed my times with Brian at AGN and the lovely oyster dinner you provided when we were in Kiawah Island in 2009.

Maribeth, you have to be one of the most dedicated and patient wives I've ever met. Your love, dedication and the always positive attitude you managed to muster for Brian this last year and a half was an inspiration. I know he appreciated all that you, Will & Ben did for him, even when he was frustrated with all of us for bossing him around. It was a pleasure getting to know you all and your beautiful family. Having the opportunity to care for Brian was an honor. My thoughts and prayers are with you that the in weeks and months and years to come that you can somehow find peace in all of this. Brian leaves behind a great legacy, something I'm sure he was proud to have been able to foster in his short time on this Earth. Much love!

There are some people who make the world a better place just because they are in it. Brian was one such person. There are some times when the world around you seems to ache, seems to be off balance because of the absence of a soul. Whether you are family, an acquaintance or close friend, I am sure this is one such time. One of the "good guys", one of the people that just helped keep your faith in mankind, one of those hard working, hard serving hard loving, hard playing, hard serving guys is now reaping his rewards in a place far better than this.
To Maribeth and the family, as prayers have surrounded you throughout this hard season, prayers surround you now. May God bless and keep you, strengthen, comfort and heal your hearts. May Brian's legacy flourish in all who he impacted with love, service, kindness, and friendship.

Brian was my accountant for about 20 years. He was smart and provided keen insight and direction. I looked forward to our tax conversations. He spoke often of his sons. He wanted only the best for them. I considered Brian to be my friend.
I will keep the Moody family in my prayers.

Brian and I were classmates in the class of '82, Middleton High School.
We were good friends and I have several fond memories of him. One of the best was when we were in a small group that did a parody of "Julius Caesar" in English class and he came up with the consensus best character name, "Brunus Moodus!"
I am so very sorry that word of Brian's illness didn't reach me in Florida. The last time I saw him was in June 2012 at our 30th year reunion. I distinctly remember that he and I spent quite a nice bit of time catching up on our lives and, in hindsight, I am so glad that we got to reconnect, albeit far too briefly.
May his memory serve as a blessing for the extended family and may you know from no more such sorrow.
I was prompted to take down my MHS yearbooks yesterday and relive some great times with Brian as a friend and classmate.

I first met Brian soon after coming to Charleston in 2000 and was made to feel like an old friend. We did lots of work together with the Chamber and it's through this organization that I came to know Brian's mom, dad and brother who are also friends. Brian was a great leader and had a wicked sense of humor. While he may have been a CPA I think his true calling was as a stand up comedian. With Brian's passing we lost a good friend and great local leader. May he rest in the peace of the Lord.

My condolences to the Moody family. Brian was a great business associate and friend. I always enjoyed our discussions about our Clemson Tigers, and life in general. He is missed.

Maribeth, Alison and Moody Family, I am heartbroken for you as are all those who knew Brian. While too short, he epitomizes a life well lived and has left us all with a wonderful legacy. I hope that as time passes, the sadness and tremendous sense of loss will soon be replaced with only warm memories of the good times that you shared with him - his infectious smile, his wonderful sense of humor, his good nature ...
