William Mizell Obituary

William Richard Mizell Goose Creek - William Richard Mizell, of Goose Creek, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 25, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. Graveside Funeral Services will be held 2 P.M. Friday January 29, 2021 at Limestone Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverends Dan Yagman, Steve Mims, and Doulas Marchant officiating. Military Honors will be given by the U.S. Army Honor Guards. Pallbearers will be Derrill Marchant, Todd Garrett, Luis Monzon, David Robinson, Charles Wiggins and Daniel Mizell. Richard was born on October 17, 1947 in Dorchester a son of the late Aaron L. Mizell, Sr. and Janie Ruth Myers Mizell. He was a graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School and was an Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a Life Insurance Agent and Manager for Life of Georgia/ ING financial group for over 30 years. He Loved his daughter, his grands, and his Farm. He was predeceased by a brother, Aaron L. Mizell, Jr. Surviving are his partner, Judy Hickman, Goose Creek; a daughter, Melissa (Luis) Monzon, Dorchester; grandchildren McKayla Ward, Goose Creek, Presley Ward, Dorchester and great-grandson, Thomas Ward; brothers, Jerry T. (Elaine) Mizzell, Charleston; Larry M. (Vicky) Mizell, Dorchester; a sister, Grace E. Craven, Camden and he also survived by a niece and 3 nephews.
