I am so terribly sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Mendez was like a father to me, for a time. I fondly remember sitting around the dinner table with him and, in an attempt to impress him with a new "fact" I had learned, recant my knowledge. He would gently respond with, "Tell me more about that.." After a few minutes of banter I would realize I was in error and he would kindly enhance my argument by saying, "Well, that very well may be true. We'll just have to see." What an extraordinary gentleman he was!!! Always willing to hear every side and patiently consider every option!! He was a GEM!!!A man whom I will always admire and respect!! Plus, he adored his children with quiet gratitude and an admiration that danced in his eyes. I love you Mr. Mendez. You will be sorely missed! xoxoxo
