William McGillivray Obituary

William "Bob" McGillivray MT. PLEASANT - William Barbour "Bob" McGillivray, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, died Wednesday March 29, 2023 at his residence. His funeral service will be held at the graveside, Wednesday April 5, 2023, in New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Old Cemetery Road, McClellanville, SC 29548 at 1:00 pm. Bob was born November 15, 1941 in Charleston. He was the son of the late Richard Morrison McGillivray and the late Florence Lillian Barbour McGillivray. He leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Victoria Branch McGillivray, daughter, Glen McGillivray Tisdale (Rip) all of Mount Pleasant, SC, son, Tim McGillivray (Shannon)of North Charleston, SC, son, Richard M. McGillivray II (Caryn) of Mount Pleasant, SC, son, Shae McGillivray (Terri) of Broadway, VA, nine grandchildren and two great- grandchildren and brother, Alecxander "Alec" McGillivray Charleston, SC. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Morrison McGillivray Jr. Bob's hobbies included boating and nature watching. He was also a member of the Rotary Club for more than 30 years and a life long member of Hobcaw Yacht Club. Bob made his mark in Mt. Pleasant as the developer of Hobcaw Point.
