To the Jenkins/Lamb Family

Our family has many childhood memories of living across the street from your family in old Crestwood. You were great neighbors and we spent a lot of time at each others house. Although I had not seen Joseph in many years, I have fond memories of us playing together, going to school together and getting into mischief together.

I know you will miss Joseph, but I know your faith will get this through this. God bless you

Peace Be Still. Be still and know that He is God. For God makes No mistakes.

What a friend we have in Jesus What pain & grief we bare What a privilege to carry EVERYTHING to GOD in PRAYER. Jo will truly be missed but not Forgotten. He was a soldier on the Battle Field for the Lord. The important thing to remember is that he enjoyed serving the people as he feed many and made so many laugh with his puppet ministy. My husband (Forrest)worked with Jo at Texaco here in Chas. I have not been able to share this with Forrest as he is presently traveling in South America. Hold on to God's Unchanging Hands. May God's Peace that surpasses All Understanding consume you. Our prayers are with your family and please pray for us as well. When things get quiet and the phone stop ringing just know that we are here. Mt. Moriah

Deacon Jenkins was a man full of love, compassion and support to EVERYONE! He was an earthly father to so many fatherless children that were not his own biologically. He gave his ALL, DILIGENTLY AND NEVER CEASING! He means SO MUCH TO SO MANY, it's hard to number. One thing we all know for sure, he served God to the FULLEST! Our Heavenly Father is WELL PLEASED! I know he heard those powerful words from the Lord, "Well done, my good and faithful servant, well done" and received his crown. Rest now you MIGHTY MAN OF GOD! You deserve it! You will ALWAYS be in our hearts FOREVER! Peace & Blessings

To the Jenkins Family: the McClee, Taylor, Williams families would like to extend our deepest sympathy. Joseph was a wonderful testament to what a Christian should be. He never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone. His cheerful disposition helped so many. His creativity was surreal! We pray that God fills your heart and mind with wonderful memories of the life that has been celebrated with the love that only God can give.

Dear Mrs. Jenkins, Sandra and Thomas,
I just got the news tonight. Oh, how my heart aches! My thoughts and prayers are with you all. We must have a gathering here in memory of Joseph. I know that his faith has now become sight. I know that he has seen Him whom he worshipped. I know that Joseph entered into His presence with shouts of everlasting joy. I know that we will see him again. I know that Joseph has a new name. I know that Joseph has seen those who have gone before him. I know that the ache in my heart will turn to joy. I know that God is good and His ways are past finding out.

To the Jenkins and my Mt. Moriah Church family. We will truly miss Deacon Jenkins, he was a giant of a man with a big smile, his singing, his guidance of the Billy Graham Ministry and all of the ministries that he gave his all. Just as Jesus said to feed His sheep, Deacon Jenkins fed us with the Word and the home cooked meals. He understood that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We thank-you, the Jenkins family for sharing Dea. Jenkins with us. Cherish the wonderful memories that he has left you! Deacon Jenkins worked very hard while it was day. He will not be forgotten as he is resting with His Lord and Savior.

Dear Family,
I was blessed to have known Deacon Jenkins. He was one of the most faithful and caring servants of God that I have met. We worked together in the Billy Graham Telephone Ministry and the Evangelism Ministry. He was a great teacher and a great inspiration to all. God endowned Him with awesome gifts which he used to bless the lives of so many. He was faithful to His God to the end. I extend my deepest sympathies and pray that God will strengthen you and encourage you in these hours and days and weeks ahead. Know that God sees every tear and bears every sorrow. Deacon Jenkins lived so that He could live again and I know that God is pleased with the work He has done and the souls won for the Kingdom. God bless you all and safe travels back to Virginia.
