William Jackson Obituary

William Jackson NEW YORK CITY, NY - William (Billy) Jackson, 86, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017, in New York City. He was the eldest of the five sons of the late Melvin and Charlotte Jackson of Charleston. William and his wife Rhea (deceased) had two sons, Mark, and Lance (now deceased). He is survived by his son, Mark and three of his four brothers, Nathaniel (Wilhelmenia), Andrew (Mary, deceased), and Harry (Janet, deceased). Brother Edward passed away in December 2013. William, an Army veteran who served in the Korean War, was also an accomplished artist and graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago. He will be memorialized in West Stockbridge, MA, on May 20, 2017, along with his son Lance who passed on February 13, 2017. Visit our guestbook at www.legacy.com/obituaries/ charleston

We are praying for you that God will give you the strength that you need in this your time of sorrow. Keep holding to his unchanging hands and he will see you through.
