I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of W.C.. He was a very fine man in every sense of the word and will be greatly missed by many. He and Barbara welcomed me into their home and extended me every kindness. I will never forget that and will always be grateful to them. When Chip and I met in 1987, we instantly became like brothers and our friendship will endure. My thoughts, prayers and love to all of the family.

He was the patriarch along with his perfect partner Barbara of an incredible family. Each member with their singular strengths yet united as a larger team that has enriched my own life since I met Chip that very first day of law school in 1987. We shared lowcountry functions, weddings, bat mitzvahs and sadly even funerals together. Bill was an intellect who always still prided himself on being able to fix anything . A source of sheer amazement to this attorney that destroyed many a flourecenscent lightbulb during failed replacements and watched his son race over to employ those skills to secure my family sukkah from falling over just minutes before the newspaper arrived to photograph it for an article. His legacy will endure through his children and grandchildren and beyond. He was simply a success in life based upon any criteria of measurement. My thoughts are with the family as you celebrate your lives and experiences with one who truly earned the right to live life in his own way surrounded by family at the conclusion of that life well lived. We should all be so blessed.
