As the Director of Community Engagement for Charleston Animal Society for the past 30yrs, I have been listening to Bill and know about his love for animals especially Springer Spaniels. I was so sad to read of Bill passing but also overjoyed to know that his family chose to ask for memorials in his name to go to the homeless animals at Charleston Animal Society. His voice will be remembered for years and the legacy of hope the donations made in his name will last a lifetime for animals. I hope that knowing this is of some comfort to his family. For the animals I am, Kay Hyman

Oh Merrill I´m so sorry for your loss. I know how close you two were and what a huge adjustment this will be for you. I´m thankful you were able to be there with him through it all. You are a great daughter. Hugs and love my friend.
