I first met Billy when we were on the Board of Trustees together at John Wesley. To say that his faith, knowledge, ability to help in any circumstance, sense of humor, and that great smile will be missed at John Wesley is an incredible understatement
How many Sunday mornings the congregation was either cool or warm .. thanks to Billy's " early checks:! That contribution was probably unknown to many. But, his presence thorough the years in so many ways leaves a void that will be difficult, if even possible, to fill.
His prowess in the kitchen for WNO or Kairos were a culinary blessing! I cannot imagine Kairos without him. Heaven only knows how many souls he reached in all these years meeting and counseling the inmates.
Aside from our shared devotion to John Wesley, he, for many years served us in his chosen profession both at home and in the office. For that, we ( and our patients) were truly grateful.
I definitely feel the loss of a dear friend.. and John Wesley has lost an angel!
We can all treasure the years we had him in our lives.

I was saddened to hear of our dear Kairos brothers passing. I first met Billy at a Low Country Emmaus event, but came to know him during our time serving together on the SC state committee for Kairos. Billy was a loving and gentle man, always willing to step in and do what was needed in our ministry. He will be greatly missed by those of us on the outside as well as those on the inside. May the Lord bring you peace and flood you with many wonderful memories of him. Blessings, Tami Cardaronella

To all of Billy's family: Billy was my best friend for almost 70 years. We shared experiences from a game of marbles to going on double dates together. We comforted each other in times of grief and we laughed when we had fun. Our memories of Billy will always be cherished. We offer our deepest sympathy to all his family and other dear friends. May God bless.

Billy was the nicest person I know of. We had a business relationship in the a/c and heating business for more than thirty years. Billy would come out all hours of the day or night to help if you had a problem especially if it was a heating problem. Tron we are so sorry about Billy's passing. May God bless you and your family.V

To Linda, Tron, and Adina, as well as all his other family, friends, and people Billy impacted there in Charleston... the people in Billy's mountain home Of Gerton, North Carolina will miss him as well. He was admired and respected and known as a Godly man. He shared his tales of Kairos Ministries, pork bar-b-que, and being prepared to fix anything that went wrong with us as well. We would like to Show our love and respect by coming, but the 30 person limit and short time Frame while necessary and understandable would crowd out others, and have no doubt, your dad/husband/friend will be remembered here as well. He was loved and impossible to forget. You are always welcome here because Billy introduced us to the finest of Charleston.
Your North Carolina neighbor and friend, Bonnie
